When you were just going to ask them a question and they answered it.. then both of you think it would be rude to walk away
If someone confonted you about something you did wrong to the ie- spread rumors about them, but they arnt really mad, just disapointed
If friends set you up on a blind date and you are both shy to start talking
if you tell someone you like them (or vice versa) the the other person doesnt like you but they dont want to hurt their feelings

When you see a lady and you say.." wow congratuations on the baby".... and she says "WHAT BABY?"
also, in the middle of a meeting "damnit i knew i should have taken a **** before this as$hole started rambling on about our profits"
