My prenatal classes told me that you can expect discharge and bleeding in the first year. Technically its the girls first period, of course it will stop until she hits puberty. But you have nothing to worry about.

It could be totally hormone related - you're right! If it gets worse or continues, take her in for a checkup right away. It's probably nothing to be worried about.
My neice (18 mos now) passed a broken blood vessel when she was 2 mos old (when she pooped, of course) and her diaper was filled with blood - we rushed her to the childrens hospital and they said she was fine, it was just a freak thing, but it happens supposedly.
I'm sure your daughter will be just fine.

take her to be seen aswell
and yes it could be hormonal
but you can't be sure
your doctor will actually look for signs of abuse, and infection
and more than likely tell you to keep an eye on it
are you sure its not from a rough BM

Sounds like a yeast infection or something else. Call your pediatrician for an appt ASAP!

I've never read the bleeding at that age is normal. I would call her doc right away.

Your littel one has a high leval of estrogen. Very commen in infants especialy in brestfed ones. My son, yes son even lactated as an infant. But just as a safe gaurd take her in to see the doc. :)

no its not normal yeast infections are at that age, but not a bloody discharge, go have your daughter seen by a pediatrician to make sure she has not been molested
