Yes, I go every year, and enjoy it very much every time. It is hard if you travel between the checkpoints. It will take you hours to get to a destination that would normally take just minutes. But it is all worth it. I usually divide my time between Ramallah and Beit Hanina to visit family, but make sure I go to the old city frequently. If you haven't been, you must go. There is nothing to be afraid of other than the wait at checkpoints with the extremely rude IDF soldiers when moving around.

No, I've never been there, but I might go. When I was little some friends of our family were actually from Palestine. Esma and her mother Hilanah (I LOVE that name!)...they were from Ramallah.
I must admit that it sometimes sounds a bit scary because of news reports, but then I'm sure Chicago sounds scary to some people, too, and I love Chicago, soo...
