mb you do realize the 80% of everything sold in America is manufactured in China. Please try thinking for a change, its a refreshing exercise.

Actually any laws America has concerning products are applicable to imports. Don't blame China, blame the companies that are selling this substandard product to a trusting public. Good companies routinely test imports for violations of safety and integrity, or, should be. How hard is it for a billion dollar consumer goods company to TEST THE CHEMICAL CONTENTS OF TOOTHPASTE, for example. This is a sham, that, companies are getting away with.

There are over 1 billion people in China who use domestic and imported goods and survive ! America's 250 million can and should indeed get used to the idea of using products from all around the world in the present trend of globalization! As for traders everywhere, self-regulation is the best regulation!

it's not a little lead paint we should be really worried about.

it's more like economic poisoning we should worrie about.
China dose not play fair when it comes to trade agreements.
Why we let them get away with that I don't know.

regulating trade is a bad idea. A couple of bad products is no biggie. How many recalls of US products have there been? A lot.
