So, here is the advice that Cherie Blair QC is providing some club owners on how to beat the ban while they are pushing their case through the European courts.

"Door staff should ask everyone entering the club if they are policemen are a council officer - which they must declare if asked - and if the answer is yes, the door staff radio down the information to the bar. Customers then put their cigarettes in the ashtrays. Even if they are lit, it can not be proved that anyone was actually smoking them"

WOW - Nice little loop hole in the law. This is being done at Abracadabra and Hey Jo night clubs.

Fantastic!!! They are on my list of night spots now. Very well done to Dave West and the others involved.

Alfie - ??? Whats that? She is a very succesful QC in working life and she is representing these night clubs in a landmark test case. I am not knocking her, I am 100% behind her and them. Keep up son.

Well I must admit, it seems a little strange that the wife of the ex-Prime Minister should provide information that allows people to get round the law that his own Government implemented.

But, then again, maybe it's not so surprising. When you consider that this Government has effectively legalised cannabis, told parents that they cannot discipline their children, told the police that they cannot discipline teenagers and that the courts must pass punitive sentences on criminals (other than motorists).

What you reap, you sew.

Yes, I meant it that way round.

Yeah she's great isn't she (NOT) Tony signed us all up to the Human Rights law and Cherie rakes in her thousands by defending all the scumbags in court as a HR lawyer "It's my Human Rights, you know " It stinks !! Good riddance to both of them.

This woman is a complete menace (just look at the human rights act) and should be arrested and stripped from her judges robes for blatantly inciting people to break the law.

Yes great idea - but wouldn't it be more sensible if her husband had have given the choice in the first place for bars and clubs to be either smoking or none smoking?
