In back to the future 3... If they hit the fuel line on the delorean and needed gas...why didn't they just go get the delorean that was locked up in the cave and siphon the gas tank. I mean there would be 2 deloreans back in the 1800's. The one doc hid in the cave and the one that marty brought back from the 50's. Has anyone else noticed this?

Well, I remember from the movie that the car needed repair and the parts weren't available until like 1948. So the car in the cave could not be repaired.

Because then he wouldn't have been able to return back to the future in part 1if they had done that.

hah...reguarding what the first guy said, i wondered the same thing when i saw him playing the guitar..
and you know what.. and i think he really is.
his hand placement is to perfect to be fake playing.
