difference in ball and pin hitch??

I heard people talking about ball hitch and pin hitch on 5th wheel campers. well my parents have a fifth wheel and don't know what kind of hitch they have. do you know? Heres a link to the photo!

This set-up in your picture is called a slider pin hitch.

Very simple. With a ball hitch, the weight is sitting on the ball. With a pin hitch, the weight is sitting on a big flat thing with a hole in it. The pin goes in the hole.

Your picture is of a pin.
