Would you rather live in the city, suburbs, small town, or "sticks"? Why?

Question

I'd rather live in a nice, safe neighborhood or condominium complex very close to the arts and recreational heart of a city (so, urban area.)

Or, just the suburbs, but no more than 20 minutes from downtown.

I've lived in small towns and HATE them. The "sticks" = boredom. Fishing, hunting, and sitting around the pond drinking beer are great ways to relax, but only on special occasions.

I hate the small towns because of the gossipy atmosphere that prevails in them. I love the city since there is always something to do and amenities are close by.

"sticks" ..... I can always drive to the city ...... but i hate traffic,annoying neighbors that rent houses out to people that disrespect the neighborhood,in the sticks I can ride dirt bikes where i want,have less chance of traveling salesmen,religious nuts,begging children,begging neighbors knocking on my door,don't have to listen to a hundred screaming children and tresspassers.... less likely to get a speeding ticket , yep.. i prefer the sticks ....

Don't like one trick ponies Dear. I kept a place in the country and one in the city. Cause Everything has pluses and Everything gets old.

suburbs or small town....I'm sick of all this hustle & bustle of people (southern Calif.) and traffic...it would be so nice to live in a smaller place that's a little more kick back

The burbs. Close enough to the action, far enough away for peace & quiet.

City because it's close to all conveniences. It's close to stores, schools, etc.
