Food stamps are conduit captalism at work. The governemt gives a person a food stamp card, that person then goes and uses the card at wal-mart, who sells them the food for a profit. Why don't we just cut out the middle man and give the money directly to wal-mart

And if they can't make it to wal-mart, all the grocery stores in the hood are owned by Koreans who get all the gov't money.

It's nice when you see these "needy" people go to walmart and buy bags and bags of candy and junk food with food stamps, cause you know...everybody needs snickers and jolly ranchers to survive

Well because food stamps or EBT cards can be used anywhere that sells groceries and most stores may advertise EBT accepted right on the front door/window. Walmart isn't available everywhere (I live in Boston and have never seen to one). I worked at Stop & Shop as a kid and everybody and their mama had a EBT card. People need it and a lot abuse it.
As for the last part about the Korean stores collecting from the government. So what! That is their business and have an agreement with the Government, not sure how it works but if you owned a store then you can do the same. It was unessacery for you to include as additional detals.

We had a DIY wedding. I had a lot of trouble printing the invitations (we did them ourselves). The printer is an older one so it would only do about 5 at a time and we had to print 50 total. For some reason the program also printed a black line at the bottom of the invite before printing the wording so we had to place a piece of computer paper down first (to print the black line on) and then the invite to print the wording on. We probably would have hired a company if we would have known how much trouble it was just because it was so time consuming. I didn't have much trouble planning other stuff or getting it done but of course, as the wedding day approached, we had little flaws here and there that were easily worked out.

I do see people using foodstamps that i think maybe arent that in need. But i know a lady raising 2 grandchildren on her disability & foodstamps feed this 2 & 3 year old. The mom is a drug addict, & left when the 2nd child was born. So grandma is stuck with the option of giving away kids to state or going on foodstamps. Its not a choice for all, she is a good person worked all her life & goes to church. This is what i think foodstamps are made for

I love it when I come across people who actually have enough common sense to see through all the government and big buisness bull sh*t. Government officials, big business, the rich, politicians, etc... They all loooooove food stamps. The food stamp program is just one of many methods employed for the purpose of keeping rich people rich and poor people poor. They (government officials, big business, the rich, politicians, etc...) toss everyone else a few crumbs to ensure that the cakes remain on THEIR plates. They pass their money around to each other, and all we get are the few dollars that they drop while they play ''keep away''.

(Walmart gives millions of dollars to politicians. Oh, but they're moving up their underpaid work force. Blah.)

EDIT: $0.02 can correct me if I'm wrong- He isn't generalizing or disparaging Koreans. Like Walmart, the Korean stores, are just an example. Both references were merely meant to illustrate the cycle of corruption. It wasn't meant as saying that all Korean store owners are "bad". Read the question again and think about it a little bit.

I hate to see someone use a food stamp card with a 200 dollar pair of shoes, a 100.00 pair of jeans and driving a car with 3000 dollar rims. That seriously ticks me off.

I was in Wal-Mart just last week and the lady in front me was using food stamps. When I got outside it just so happened she was parked beside me and was driving a brand new Lincoln town car. GO FIGURE

food stamps are a way to ensure that money given to those that need it IS indeed spent on food. Mocking a system that helps those in need of life's basic necessities is not only ignorant but just plain cruel.
