Are you sure you want to include all schools? The local school districts (around my home) are not considering such. I also currently work in a middle school where, even at that age, still see the need for a short break from learning activities following lunch. Physical movement and social activities are needed for our children to become successful adults.

Is there an avenue you and those who agree with you to make the schools in question aware of your concerns?

I hope you find your answers

I think it's because people are so quick to sue anyone they can, that schools are afraid of liability for even minor injuries. This cripples the schools' ability to give the kids their much-needed recess to run around and release some of that energy so that they can pay attention in class.

You know I agree with you totally; it is whacked out. I mean no matter what kids are going to get hurt. It is kids. You let kids outside the front yard at home and they will scratch their knee's. It is kids. So banding them from going outside on the play ground is not going to stop them cause them could just fall or get in a little fight in the hall and then what are they going to put straps on their waste. Laugh out loud. I understand exactly where your coming from, when I was in school I was in special classes and they treated me and my classmates like babies. I can understand some of the kids who were mentally disabled who needed assistance but when they started walking us other kids whose minds were right to the bathroom then I say that's a problem.
