There are many reasons, but one popular one is that Judas was the 13th one to sit at the last supper, and he of course betrays Jesus. In Tarot cards, one of the more conventional decks has death as the 13th card.

It depends on who the person is. For example, I was once with a man who got arrested on Friday the 13th; it did not matter which month it was. I don't know of anyone who lives at #13. I am not sure, but maybe the number 13 is considered unlucky because some people are superstitious and think something bad is going to happen to them.

The number 13 is considered unlucky because there were 13 people at The Last Supper. Friday the 13th is considered unlucky because again, 13 people at the last Supper and Christ was crucified on Friday. At least, that's what they taught us at church.

I'm not sure of why 13 is considered to be unlucky, but I live in Plymouth, Devon and there are many roads that do not have a number 13. I did Kleeneze for a while and it really confused me at first because I was looking for the number 13!

The knights Templar were arrested on Friday the13th October1307 by king Philip the fair of France .
After confessions made under torture the order was dissolved and all their lands and moneys were confiscated.
This is why Friday the 13th is deemed unlucky.

I don't, but I would like to say that although many believe that the number 13 is unlucky, it is not unlucky for all. Not for me anyway. Not only that, but I was born on 7-24 (July 24). I was born at 6am and I was 6lbs and 6oz. That is 666-724. Now I was in a Millers Outpost one day looking at t-shirts. I found a really cool one that had all my numbers on it!!! It read: 666-724, PSYCHO. I had to buy it. I love it. And although I do consider myself very very odd, I don't consider myself a psycho. The numbers 666-724 are also very lucky for me.

I don't know but I wouldn't risk breaking a mirror or walking under a ladder on Friday 13th. it should be struck off the numerical system I say, and never look at a new moon for the first time through glass. Shall I go on?
