My son is turning 8 and also one of his friends. I need to buy them both presents and I would like to buy a DS game for them. What type of DS games would an 8 year old like?

pokemon games are fun for everyone.
pokemon ranger
pokemon blue mystery dungeon
pokemon diamond/pearl.
they're great fror 8+

You know your child better than we do. What types of games does he like now? Racing games? Animal games? Puzzles?
Is there a favorite cartoon show that he watches a lot? Most shows nowadays also have a video game based on the show. Spongebob, Rugrats, Atomic Betty, Tom and Jerry, etc. Buy him a game based on the show and he'll be happy.
Just stick with E rated games. You'll have plenty to choose from with the DS system.

Spiderman! Superman !Batman!cool evil villians all rolled into 1 its some game I cant remember the first part but the second is rise of the imperfects mad by marvel or saga, it really depends on your kid if he likes fighting give that to him if he is silly and likes everythig give him Wario Ware!touched! it involves mini games and drawing if he is a serious child give him sims2 just plain sims 2 not sims2 pets only give him sims 2 if you think he is very mature.
