I used washable marker on a white board about a year ago and now it won't come off. I've tried viniger, toothpaste, water, dry erase marker, soap, lysol, nail polish remover, and rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover. Does anyone know of any other way that I haven't tried yet?

Get some spray oven cleaner. It takes it right off.

This might be the same answer but I looked this up for you. I ope you try it... Removing permanent marker from a white board is actually easier than you think. No sprays are even needed. Steps Scribble a dry-erase marker all over the permanent marks. Make sure you cover all of the marks. Let the marks sit for five to ten minutes. Erase the marks away with a dry-erase eraser. Tips This even works on some types of plastics, but not all! The color of the dry-erase marker does not matter. You may have to draw over and erase more than once. Warnings Do not spray any sprays onto the eraser or paper towel. This will make the problem even worse. Sometimes the marks will not be completely erased. Things You'll Need A dry-erase white board marker. A white board eraser.

I've managed to get old marker pen off a white board using a washing up sponge with non-stick scratchy stuff (does that make sense?) Its not perfect, but it works reasonably well.

try rewriting over the same areas with the same marker and then rubbing it of while the marker is still damp. For some reason this often works

You might try using a little Comet. I have used this on both marker stains and crayon and it always works beautifully. Good luck with this!

Have you tried aerosol hairspray? My hairdresser said it works for permanent marker on plastic, so it may work on your situation too.

I don't know if it's whiteboard safe, but toluol tends to be a pretty potent cleaner
