I prefer books but I normally watch a movie while reading a book. It saves time.

I always prefer a book to the movie. There is so much more detail and such a better chance for really getting into the characters feelings and emotions.
Movies always change so many things that I have a hard time concentrating for comparing changes in my mind,
The movies I have loved the best are always the ones that stay closest to the original book and don't cut scenes.

The book. So many stories are ruined when they make it into a movie and delete things like the Di Vinci Code.
