Maybe if they hadn't rushed the search in order to try to influence voters before the election ...who were remembering all the Republican crooks,,,they could have taken the time to perform a legal search.

Blame the judges, not the feds. They did consult with their legal department and got a search warrent...signed by a judge.
This does not mean Jefferson won't be convicted. It means the FBI has to return some documents. But they have already seen them.
