Amy E,
Jobs can be hard to find but don't get discouraged.Maybe you could check about nursing or someother classes at a community college. The finance dept may be able to help you with grants (money to help pay for the classes).

I think it should be the parent that has the lowest income that stayed at home to raise the children! Which in most households it would be the mother! Some couples still can't afford to do this though even if they got a "huge tax credit." I am fortunate enough that my partner earns more than enough so I can stay at home - I will be getting Maternity pay from my work for 9 months and then I plan to stay at home for another 3 months and then go back to work part time (only a few hours a week) - As I think this will help as going back to work after been a stay at home mother for 5 years would be hard going - so I think it would be better to continue working a few hours a week. My child will be at my mothers or my partners mothers while I am working so I wouldn't have to pay for childcare like most people!

I so wish I could help you. I hurt all over for you honey. Do you have family or someone to be there for you ?? Is the father of your children living ?? If so, is he helping with child support ?? Seek out all the free services you can. Go to your church ??
I am praying for you and you must reach out so God can help you through some kind souls that are waiting to help .
God will provide a way, just stay strong.~~~~Jill

Try Manpower services or one of the other temp agencies. Most companies now use them to hire people in hopes of getting a permanent employee after they have proven themselves. Good Luck.

Apply Wal-Mart, your local grocery stores. Where I live (unemployment at 8%), a couple of the large grocery stores are interviewing on the spot.

an office becuase it has a similar schedule to school and its fairly constant (any other work you might get in at different times different days). you could also check if they have jobs at your kids school, like office assistant, etc.
