How do you reconcile the xth version of the afterlife with different, conflicting versions of other religions? I suppose you believe your religion is the only real, True Religion. Sure. Just like all the others do too.
Fact: the human race has been around for hundreds of thousands of years.
Fact: the concepts of an afterlife, of gods, spirits, etc. have only been around for a few millenia.
Fact: these concepts were invented and promulgated by ignorant barbarians as an attempt to explain the world around them, before there was a such thing as science or epistemology.
Fact: the xth religion is only a couple millenia old, one of many religions that came before it and have come since.
Fact: most of the books of the bible were written by people who were never there, as second- or third-hand accounts decades or even centuries after the events they claim to tell about.
Fact: the books of the bible have been heavily edited over the centuries, with passages or even whole books being re-written or omitted to fit the theological and political climates of the time.
Fact: the books of the bible have also been subject to extensive errors, misinterpretations, and differences of opinion in interpretation as they are translated from one language to another and from that to yet another language.
Knowing all this, how can ANY religion be viewed as anything BUT the invention of men? I know this may not be what you want to hear, and I doubt I'll do much harm to your faith; faith is remarkably impervious to reason.

Yes. Man is an immortal spiritual being. The body dies, but the spirit--which is the person himself not something he owns, goes on to another life.
You are a spiritual being and the body is something you wear (like someone driving a car is not a car).
Also, the spiritual being can improve his abilities and be more able and happier.

If you refer to life , I think, you are referring to the living body, the physical body. If this physical body dies then its "life ' in this world is over. But inside the physical body there is a permanent resident called the soul, that simply walks out of the physically dead body. This soul never dies and it will occupy another physical body of its choice and this continues for ever.
So, there is no "life " after death for this physical body. But there is no death for the soul and when it occupies another body life starts again.Complicated but that is what it is.
scientifically psychologists can regres and progress human minda and they can find out what a person was in the previous borth and what he/she would be in the next..

No, because if there were life after death, you wouldn't be quite dead, would you? I don't think there is a "soul" inside of us, to be released, we are a body of working organs, and once those organs no longer provide us with the essentials of living, we die.

i dont believe in life after death but i believe in my souls or heart or spirits whatever they call it its true i can hear or use spiritual but i dont understand how it works.
i dont believe in god but i know something is there behind it like what make our solar system who is it that big brain or what it is that soo intelligent to creat the univers.
is that brain human brain if not how do we know the meaning of what its doing to us.
i dont believe in god nor afterdeath but its a puzzel for me to solve still.
why not just call our god the sun or the elements and matter.....
if my souls or spirits with me all that time how come i cant remember my beforedeath?....

Yes there is life after death!!!!!!!! Please listen to me, After we die We have eternity to spend. If you live for God while on earth you will spend eternity in heaven with him. If you ignore God and refuse to live for him you will spend eternity in Hell.
