I got fired for the first time ever this past March. I figure it's not so bad for being in the work force 17 years. I was doing sales and was only making 90 - 95% of goal. That's not 100%.

Yes, and the reason was because I found out there was illegal black market activity happening at a pharmaceutical packaging and shipping company I worked for. After being fired, my sister worked in a different division of the same company and did some further snooping. She turned the evidence over to the F.B.I. There was a drug sting that went across the U.S. that involved several pharmacists who ended up going to prison. This happened in 1984. It made national news.

Yes.

I worked for a domestic abuse shelter that was doing quite a few illegal things ... And the employees were abusive to the clients. I was the only one who actually worked so the others were feeling threatened and were looking for any slip up to get rid of me because I was making them look bad! So I pretty much went to the authorities ...

The next day I got some line about budgetting being cut and so on ... Before she finished the we need to let you go speech I told her I actually had better things to do than stand here and listen to her ***** on and walked out.

And my mother happens to be the president of the board of legal services so yeah ... The place has since been shut down so UP YOURS!!

I was fired from a job I really enjoyed and the money wasn't bad either. The reason was because the lady in "H. R." didn't like me. I still don't understand that one. That's what she told me. They called my supervisor in and he told them he was going to promote me, and didn't have a problem with me. She still fired me.

I got "laid off". And the reason was because I spoke a little TOO honestly during an in-house interview with an HR manager. I knew I said too much when she accused me of threatening the company.

Next thing I know, I was called into my supervisor's office... informed that my employment was terminated... and I was "kindly" walked out of my office by a security guard.

When I was 16yrs. (my first job) I got fired! I worked at an apple orchard and I had to direct traffic. (Boring) My supervisor was an a**hole and was flirting with every single girl that worked there. I had a problem with something? And he completely ignored me. So I got mad and told him to shove it and to kiss my a**. And that he was a complete jerk. And I just walked off the property. I took an apple off of one of the tree's on my way out.

Sure. For basically being a nice person and trying to help out someone who worked there before. Gave her some ideas on what to do, they read the e-mail, and zip, out the door, I was! Hey, worth it, was there 16 years, and getting tired of all the crap. Now at a better job.

I would not kiss the rear of the boss from hell who thought she was the hottest thing on earth. I was then promised my own lab site in one of the cities near us and I wanted it becaue of the hours and the gas pay for going there daily, her assistant PROMISED me the job. Well the boss lady from hell gave it to someone else and all I did was ask very nicely why? and told her about the promise. She told me to clock out from the site I was working at that day and drive to her office at the main lab, so I did. When I came in she said I was "disgruntled" because I did not get the position and that she did not believe I was promised the job because her assistant would not do that, (She was yelling at me with veins bulging in her neck) I got up and went to the office next door to get the assistant, brought her in, she said yes, maybe she was wrong but that she did promise me the job because I was the most qualified and the person she choose instead was a new employee and not any where near as qualified. Next thing I know she came over to me and took off my name badge (we wore them around those long neck things on the neck, very loose, she just plucked it off) and on my lap I had my lab site book on my lap, something we had to have with us at all times, it had rules for each blood site so you could work anywhere they sent you, she snatched it from my hands and told me get out. She knew I was having hard times, and was in the process of possibly loosing my home and my husband had been off work with surgery and we have 4 small children.

I begged and she grinned in my face and pointed towards the door. I cried and was so embarassed. I left thinking I will survive only to find she fought me for my unemployment! I mean she FOUGHT! I had to court against her! But I won and she was so furious. They decided I was unreasonably let go and I later got an attorney and was ... compensated! ;-)
