I know everything there is to know about Nicaragua, i live here and study at two universities, i am a history major. I love my country, i have a lot of patriotism, as does my entire family. Its a shame not many people know much about Nicaragua, just like that person who answered this question, Nicaragua actually has the LOWEST CRIME RATE IN CENTRAL AMERICA, 2ND LOWEST IN LATIN AMERICA. But i don't blame people, they talk about things without really knowing the facts.

My friend Luke served for two years in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua. He was the only white gringo in that little city. The people loved him and he loved the people. It is a very under developed country. Lot's of poverty and diseases. Not enough jobs and hygiens. Not great access to water supply etc. Also per capita Nicaragua has a high crime rate and homocide.
