yes it still does, but no where near as much as people on tv try and say it does and i dont mean from 1 race or another i mean in general. it has gotten much better over the years and will still remain to get better over all. but it will never fully go away.

Unfortunately, it still does. I was seriously watching an episode of Sanford and Son about a week ago, laughing my head off because I'm old and still think Red Foxx was funny. It occurred to me that I felt closer to the, for lack of a better term, african-american culture then than I do now. I am a mutt, being native american, african american, portugese, swiss, welch and lithuanian, all about equal degrees, with a, for lack of a better term, white appearance and name. The bible says that the blood of 7 generations screams when sin (such as oppression or slavery, for example) happens. The only solution I see is not to have separate cultures - wasn't separate found to be inherently inequal? If so, why are the terms native american and african american used at all? With my mix and look, who should I be a part of? I think being asian-american, for example (and again for lack of a better term) is about as important as having freckles. Same with all the rest of the stuff. It's the way we act on who we are and what we do that puts a stigma on it. I saw Richard Pryor doing comedy later (back to Red Foxx) in a most denegrating and hateful way - HBO recently had it on. In the front row of his stand up audience, laughing hysterically, was Jesse Jackson. Prayer on this subject is the only help I know of.

It is not good to discriminate a person for discriminating others for what they believe and practice; after all, that person is also believing and practicing what he think is right (discrimination) and why should he be discriminated for that?
Hence discrimination will fight the discrimination against it and is here to stay.

There are two distinctly different kinds of racial discrimination. One is institutional the other is personal. Institutional racism, has been made illegal and those who believe they have been discriminated against have legal recourse. The other cannot be dealt with by any act of Congress.
When will people stop experiencing racist feelings that cause them to discriminate against particular races? Well, you are a human. When will you? When will I? When will any of us?
First, all of us need to recognize that we have these feelings. Then we need to work on ourselves. If you are black, stop stereotyping whites, Asians and Hispanics. If you are White, stop stereotyping blacks, etc. Every race seems to have this inate distrust for other races. We have to work on ourselves to get over it first.
The only thing we can do to affect other people's hearts is to, by our actions, disprove their preconceptions. If you are a black man and you see an old white person who seems afraid of intimidated by you, smile and say hello. If you are white and you see a black person shopping don't be afraid to interact with them. Ask their opinion on something, compliment them on a selction they have made just like you would with another white person.
Just be friendly and courteous to people. It is easy to dislike people that are rude or intimidating. It is hard to dislike people that are courteous and friendly. We are all just people trying to get along in life. Why not let it be a little more pleasant along the way?

Yes discrimination does exist today and it will always exist. Why? Because humans just like animals prefer things over other things and or people. That is why. Try getting a dog not to eat Alpo and only eat dry cat food when given the choice the dog will choose Alpo. Same with humans. I like ketchup. Try and make me eat mustard when I prefer ketchup. That is insane right? In fact it is downright tyrannical to force someone to avoid something they like or don't like. So, in saying with said analogy some humans prefer other humans over others. Would it be far to tell a man he must marry a blonde when he prefers dark haired women? Would it be outright tyrannical to force that man to marry someone he does not like?

Sometimes, but not as bad as years ago.
Well, for one thing now the Spanish peeps, or other nationalities who come to the US are discriminated against.
Even though I feel people don't deserve this type of treatment, I have to be fair to admit that ANYONE who chooses to move to another country ANYWHERE in the world should atleast make an effort to learn most of the basics in that language to which is spoken in the area they've chosen to make a new life.

I believe that it does and it is the majority that does it, but no one is going to tell you that its the way they feel. It comes it many different ways, colors and forms. Its not only against blacks, whites but in the way people are. When you see a girl/guy on the road walking looking Gothic, you take a second look, and shake your head, I know I do. But who are we. We all take a look at our selves when we see a question like this but nothing will ever change and its sad. You want to say you wont do it but its like contagious when you see someone else do it you tag right along.
It still exist because we have no cares for anyone else but for ourselves and our families and only when it effects us. It will always exist, its sad to say but it will never stop. There will always be one that feels they are much better than you or I

Sure, as long as man remains on the face of the earth. Every decision you make, you are choosing one thing over another. Discrimination doesn't always mean racism or hatred.

Sadly, yes. There are some people who still hold ignorant views and there are still some people of color perpetuating the hate and playing the race card at every turn.
