friends i want help in constructing a working model of a water purifier which can purify grey and sea water to potable water. size may be portable. and cost efficient for a college science exhibition

Well... I'm not a scientist or a water purification expert... but the most simple way I would assume is:

Have a pot or something boil water, have that evaporated water go up into a tube, then have that tube cooled so the water condenses and you have little tiny droplets of pure water. The salt and other ions are left behind in the pot.

For this you have to prepare a three bucket model . take three bucket, make a small holes at the bottom of each bucket, and put it on a tripod one above the other.Top bucket fill with active charcoal , the bucket below it fill with coarse sand and lowest one with very fine sand take the water to be purified , boil it and filter it with thin fine mesh cloth and then pour it in top bucket slowly water will pass through first bucket and pass from the hole in the bottom of each bucket finally water will drain out from top bucket and will come in second bucket and from the bottom of second bucket it will go in third bucket and at the bottom of third bucket you will get frsh and drinkable water.
