Evidently nothing else important is going on in the world. Such as the war, etc. This is why I get my news from Yahoo.

No. There is absolutely nothing else going on in the world. We have to dwell on every catastrophe for the first 4-5 days then we can move on, but only after there are reports about every tribute and prayer service for the victims.

I am not callouse, but I believe our society dwells too much on the negative, dragging out "news stories" for the benefit of their ratings. I'm kind of catastrophe fatigued.

The bridge news seems to be eclipsing any other news but I am sure there are other things going on in the world.

I always suspect something really juicy going on in the government when they dwell on one thing for too long.
