if you are not ready for commitment is it even cheating? If you have told the person you are with that you are not in or looking for a committed relationship and you have not stated that it is a exclusive relationship then it is not cheating....

Are you commited to the person bf/gf wise? If so, yes it is bad to cheat. But if you were just associating with the person, as in........just talking to them and getting to know them...than it wouldn't be considered cheating if you weren't ready to commit.
