If he is a good boss yes, if he makes you get coffee and orders you around like a slave then NO!

I good executive asistant's relationship with an executive involves boundless trust, she is constantly saving him from embarrassment and making sure he is adequately prepared and on schedule.

Not telling him would be unthinkable!

I would inform him. Depends on how long you've worked for him, and how well you know him as to what method you choose to inform him. Either jot it down, hand him the note and run ("please check your fly") or say to him "Your barn door is open." Good luck.
