Hmmm.....
Well let's look at it two ways:
Will Farrell single-handedly saved SNL for eight seasons. Without him, I believe the show might be canceled. His movies have done well at the box office, typically with him playing wildly various characters. He can act in a dramatic role, as evidence from "Stranger Than Fiction" and he makes wonderful Internet videos (go to youtube and type in Landlord)
Vince plays the same character in every movie, his one or two movie stints where he plays a dramatic character include "Rudy" (loved the movie but he was not convincing at all) and "Psycho" (another movie that fell flat). He has been playing the same Playboy bachelor since "Swingers" and I'm sick of it.
I hope that answers your question.

Never heard of Vince Vaugh and Will Farrell is only occassionally funny - depends who's been writing for him.

Vince is funnier. Will's comedy tends to lean more toward stupidity.

They are both equally funny. That's like asking: Who's funnier? Owen Wilson or Ben Stiller? Tough question.

They are very different comedians - different kinds of funny. Will Ferrell is more of the slapstick, in your face kind of humor while Vince Vaughn is more of the dry funny.
