I was wondering why you deleted this question earlier....
Probably would not get by the television censors at the time. It is incredible how shows have changed, can openly talk about homosexual practices, say b'tch, etc.

That would have been socially unacceptable. They probably wouldn't do that on a comedy t.v. show today either; there would be a public outcry from men.
