I am afraid that you are mixed up. If they were tring to SCARE you they would spell "BOOOOOOOOOOOO"
"OOOOOOOOOOO" on the other hand only means that they are playing TIC-TAC-TOE with you AND they are winning!!!

I am an expert in the yara-normal.
What you have here Mr sock puppet is a serious case of frighted cereal.
Yes, your cereal is afraid of being eaten.
It is actually trying to spell ouch, but apparently you have already eaten the u c and h.
If you would but reach into the cereal box and fish out more of the missing letters you will see them band together in fear.
