Ok some of the stuff Esteban said wasn't true, let me clarify.
Facebook vs. Myspace
Music
You can easily add multiple songs to your facebook profile.
You can only add one song to your myspace profile, unless you generate a special music player or something.
Friends
You can see what you're friends are up to on your facebook homepage (like if they change their profile, or add a new application, etc.)
You can only see what you're friends are up to on myspace if you look at there page, or read a bulletin they wrote.
Profile Editing
You can't personalize your facebook profile as much as you can a myspace one, but re-arranging tables is quick and easy.
You can customize just about anything on your profile, if you have the right codes.
Pictures
Your facebook profile has your display picture at the top right corner, and underneath a link to the pictures you were "tagged" in. Lower down on the profile, all the albums are displayed.
Your myspace profile has your display picture at the top right,
and a link to your pictures underneath where all the albums are.
Video:
You can easily add videos to your facebook profile.
You can add videos to your myspace profile w/ the right codes.
Comments
Facebook comments are called wallposts. You can do a thing called "wall-to-wall" with the person you're talking to, to see all past conversations so that basically, you can read what the person wrote while you're answering.
Myspace comments are called comments. You can click comment back, which leads to there comment box.
Over-all, facebook is way simpler and easier to use for a beginner.
Other Facebook features that Myspace doesn't have:
"Tagging": If you upload a picture of you and your friend, you can "tag" your friend in the picture. When you do this, the tagged picture gets added to her picture section. Also, you can remove tags anytime. You can even remove tags from pictures that you were tagged in (if you don't want the picture to be in your picture thing.)
Applications: Facebook has thousands of applications. There are all different types such as "Funwall" (it's like a wall [wall is where you post wallposts aka comments] where you can put pictures, videos, etc. There are tons of things you can do with the applications, and lots of them are really fun.
You can also tag people in videos you upload onto facebook.

It started as a way for college student to keep intouch with one another. Now, everyone can join! It's sort of like MySpace. I have bothm but much rather perfer Facebook. There are applications that you can add to your profile like; a map of the places you've been, what concerts your going to, and a tool that allows you to draw on other peoples "wall" or the area that you leave comments. Overall, the themes on facebook are a little more mature than MySpace.

Per wikepeidia - Facebook is a social networking website which was launched on February 4, 2004.
In the beginning, the membership was restricted to students of Harvard University. It was subsequently expanded to other Boston area schools (Boston College, Boston University, MIT) and all Ivy League schools within two months. Many individual universities were added in rapid succession over the next year. Eventually anyone with a US college or university (.edu) email address was eligible to join. There was a separate network initiated for US high schools. Since 11 September 2006, it has been made available to any email address[2] user who inputs a certain age range. Users can select to join one or more participating networks, such as a high school, place of employment, or geographic region.
As of July 2007, the website had the largest number of registered users among college-focused sites with over 30 million members worldwide (also from non-collegiate networks).[3] In June 2007[4] it was ranked between top 10–20 web sites, and was the number one site for photos in the United States, ahead of public sites such as Flickr, with over 8.5 million photos uploaded daily.[5] It is also the seventh most visited site in the United States.[6].
The name of the site refers to the paper facebooks depicting members of the campus community that colleges and preparatory schools give to incoming students, faculty, and staff.

yeah it's like myspace except better. You get to see when your friends add new friends, new hobbies etc...w/o even going to their profile because they have something called news feed. You will meet all kind of people and even classmates and co-workers. If you can join myspace, y not facebook.

Pros and Cons
Facebook.com is a great way to meet friends and keep up on what they are doing. Once you add a friend to your Facebook.com friends list you will always know when they are adding to their notes (blog) or updating their profile. Join Facebook.com groups to meet people like you or browse the profiles to find other new friends. Facebook.com's classmates and co-worker search is good for finding friends too.
Pros
Keep Track Of Friends: Facebook.com tells you when your friends are updating their profile's, adding to their blogs or have some other news on their Web site.
Photo Album: Add photos and photo albums to your Facebook.com profile.
Blog Merge: Use the notes feature to create your own simple blog or you can merge your existing blog right into Facebook.com notes.
Excellent Search and Browse: Search and browse for people on Facebook.com using just about anything.
Cons
No Music: You can not add music to your Facebook.com profile.
No Video: You also can not add video to your Facebook.com profile.
No Chatroom: I really would have thought that a site like Facebook.com would have a chatroom or general forum so people can get together online and just chat and say "hi". They don't. There was no chatroom or IM to be found on Facebook.com.

Unfortunately, Esteban doesn't tell the complete truth. Facebook.com does allow you add music and video to your profile, but it does not automatically load and play when you log on. You can add and remove lots of applications that will allow you to do this. Facebook is also much safer in terms of privacy and user protection, by the simple fact that not everyone can view your profile.
