he is just doing it bcuz he knows he will have british foreign policy dictated to him by america. this way he will look better so he thinks.

Brown should have shown some guts and started to separate Britain from America.

America , Bush and Rumsfeld are using britain to secure commodities in Iraq using privately hired mercenaries and british soldiers.

Being cynical, we've just paid off the US (apart from being their biggest aircraft carrier in the Atlantic for another 40 years or so (99 year lease airbases)) and now we're paying £42M a day to the people we were at war with years ago. Where does the cash go? Not Poland cos they're all coming here.

Like you I do not like us being so close to America however there our allies.Think you will find Gordon Brown will not be so close to them.Since WW11 when they took us to the cleaners they had a hold over us well the debt is paid back &
in honesty i would rarther be friends than enemies.

Clown Brown is a brooding, resentful, hating, class conscious, jealous Scot of the very worst kind.

Before you start I actually like most of the Scots I have met

I disagree with the sentiment as well but did you see his body language when he was on the rostrum with Bush?

He can't afford to walk out on America, they are our allies even if the benefits of the alliance tend to be a bit one sided, but I don't think he believes in what he said either.

Time will tell.

Mr.Gordon Brown is in my opinion not only a closet commie but a control freak.
During his time working with "Truthful Tony" as chancellor he has demonstrated his blunt character and commitment to extreme left wing policies.
I would find it hard to agree with any statement made by him.
