I was at home, sitting on my couch, nursing my 6 day old daughter. I was totally relaxed and "in the moment" when my mother called and asked me if I was watching t.v.. I told her no and she said in a very desperate tone, "you have to turn it on". I did and it was like the wind was knocked out of me. My 5 year old daughter was in school at the time, and without shoes on, I loaded up my newborn and went to pick her up. I just had to have both of my babies at home with me. I had to touch them.....I had to hold them. I had to know that they were safe.
I absolutely can not imagine what those victims and their families were going through at that moment, nor what they are going through to this day. What an unbelievable tragedy. God Bless them all.

I was at home determined to sleep. My phone kept ringing and ringing. When I answered it was my best friend and she was crying. She told me to turn on the news. The first tower had been hit and I was horrified. But when I saw the plane fly into the second tower, my heart just broke. I cried with her and I knew that someone did this on purpose. I knew that we would be going to war. I was very afraid. I made calls to family and friends, then I got online to talk to my friends there. I had friends in NJ and in NY. One of them lived in NJ but worked in NY and from his office building he could see the twin towers. He was online and he was so upset. His daughter who was 5 had called him crying and begging him to come home. He could not leave. Later he found out that three of his friends died there. Horrible Horrible day.

Home from work waiting on the water heater repair guy. When he came in he told me about it and I turned on the TV just in time to see the second plane hit and the buildings fall. I wish all the anti-war people would remember the sight! **(oops...here comes the thumbs down...)**

I was at home trying to sleep and I couldn't. I turned on the TV and saw the plane crashing on the first building. I thought it was a movie.
