Why does Obama want to invade Pakistan?

Why on earth do we want to invade allies and ignore enemies? Is he planning to go to the UN? What will he do if the UN says no? Will he still go forward if he thinks it's the right thing? Don't we have bigger threats than Pakistan?

WOW! We have a lot of idiotic answers so far...He does not want to "invade" Pakistan like Bush "invaded" Iraq. He merely means if the intelligence points to a hold out, meeting, etc. of Al Queda members he would act to take them out. This is not the same things as occupying a country; it would be a strategic attack. Bush's camp ignored a major Al Queda meeting in Pakistan and did not attack during it due to their relationship with their President...stupid mistake. I am sure that he would go to the U.N. first; he is not interested in damaging our reputation in the world. However, he would do whatever is necessary to get the focus of the war back on the right track-Al Queda- instead of Iraq.

According to CIA published intel, Al Quida has a major recruitment / training facility in Pakistan. If true, the question is why hasn't our "ally" the Pakistani government gone after them. We've given billions to support the Pakistani government and we can't get any cooperation.

I believe Obama said yesterday that if the Pakistani government won't take out AlQuida, we will.

OK.. that presumes that the CIA intel is correct, and there is no way to be sure they aren't just making things up.. again.

BTW, to do this, Obama would pull troops out of Iraq.

He would not do this .
It is his Muslim way to bring down the only Muslim power who is a close Ailey to the USA Musharraf.

it has always been the plan to take out pakistan. look on a map. there's a bunch of oil in kyrgistan, but no way to ship it. they need a pipeline to the coast and that means afghanistan and pakistan are in the way.
