Because he stands for what he believes in and he doesn't listen to people like Micheal Moore who make money off causing paranoia. And if that means that he is dim witted, arrogant, moronic, and numb nuts then you must be pretty smart.

Your question is what is known as a rhetorical question. A rhetorical question is a question asked not to seek information, but to make a point in a roundabout way. It attempts to establish as reasonable an unsupported allegation – for example, “When did you stop beating your wife?” You may or may not have been beating your wife, but the question posed begs the truth. Attempting to disarm such a question is usually a futile endeavor. Folks who ask rhetorical questions almost always have their minds made up and are not about to be confused by the facts.

He is just a tool of the new world order. He is dumb as hell, but he doesn't have to do the thinking. He plays the role of the elected leader who has good intentions...the lovable moron, who makes lots of "mistakes" but we always forgive him, because, of course, he is only trying to protect us.
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed -- and thus clamorous to be led to safety -- by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."
-- H.L. Mencken

Because you believe what you are told by the media. A romantic attraction to the facts on your part would cure all of those conditions on his part.
