My friend is a male pole dancer in cheltenham, he dresses as a woman to do it and has entered several competitions. However some small minded pub chains have banned him. I think the managers are frightened of their own sexuality.

depends what you mean by pole dancers , in the u.k their is a group of street actors , that go around a pole , danceing in the summer months , In Oxford , if how ever you are on about a night club then i think the best place to see a male on the pole , is to go to holland , where you can sit right up near him and he will do any tricks on the pole you ask him to enjoy
