O'kay I already called my OBGYN and the Hospital. The hospital told me that there seems to be nothing wrong and for me to call my ob so i called my ob they cant get me in for another 2 weeks and told me to go to the ER. WTF... So here is what is wrong. The following wensaday I had a c-section the 25th I now have huge lumps/knots where and around where they took out the staples. I now am having heat sweats my temp. is 99.8 which is still considered normal. but my house is on 72 degrees and there are fans running.. Has any one else had this occur w. a c-section. Also diareah and when I get that I suddenly start to bleed extremely heavy. My daughter has her first pediatrician apt. today so I cant go to the hospital till saturday. Due to the fact this past wend. we lost my uncle and I cant leave the baby at home w/ any1 right now. and the last place i want to take her is to a hospital. What do u suggest

There is no puss no redness no nothing that they consider is a threat to a infection and thats why they are giving me the run around.. just the weriod lumps.. and yes i have been doing alot of activity since I been home.. My mom is terminally ill and im left at home caring for her and a new born and taking care of a house. Then last wens. I had to put together a search team to go out into the woods to look for my uncle I walked high hills and such looking until we found him in the worst of conditions.

Whatever problems the rest of your family is having, you need to just focus on yourself and the baby. You aren't superwoman, and you need to focus this time on your main priority. Let other people hike mountains, and form search parties. Not that you shouldn't care, but now is just not the time for you to be doing that sort of stuff, regardless of who is in trouble. If you get broken down, your child suffers. Keep your priorities limited to yourself and your child.
If you can, hire help to watch your mother and help with your house at least temporarily until you heal. You can get a referral from a hospice, caregiver agency, nursing home, assisted living, or adult foster care. You might even consider putting your mother into hospice care at least temporarily. Hire someone to come in to catch up on your housework (or ask friends for help). Dollar per dollar, hiring help will PROBABLY do a lot more for you than an emergency room visit.
If $ is a factor (no insurance) I would also suggest calling all of the other OBGYNs, and even family practice physicians in the phone book to get an earlier appointment, you might find an office visit for tomorrow (Friday) or even Monday...
It sounds like you are under too much stress and aren't resting enough to let your body heal, more so than that you have an infection.
I had similar things to what you describe. Hot-flashes when your temp isn't that high (1 degree isn't really a fever) is a result of hormone shifts after pregnancy. Everyone experiences them (c-section or vaginal birth). I felt like I was on fire for days after my baby's birth (by c section).
If the lumps on your incision are bleeding, pus-filled or oozing, that is infection... but if the skin is relatively dry with lumps, it is probably scar tissue. I have lumpy scar tissue in my c-section scar, and it will change as your stomach shrinks back. The vaginal bleeding and pooping are all part of the post-pregnancy process as well. If you are referring to heavy vaginal bleeding, it is normal (after my c-section bleeding was much heavier than a period, and totally normal). Bleeding from your incision site is not normal.
I was running liquid poops for a few days afterward too. For me, it was hormonal, but also partially the medications I took after the c section were irritating my stomach (pain-killers and laxatives are normally prescribed post- c section).
If you feel you are in immediate danger, go to the emergency room. They will have a nurse watch your baby. If you are concerned, but don't feel like you are dying, then you will probably be fine to wait until sat, or until your OBGYN can see you.

Go to the ER immediately!!!!!!!! YES infections do spread, and as a nurse I've heard of woman dying after a c-section from infections that become septic and poison your blood. You should never ever ignore an infection. I wouldn't be surprised if they admitted you for a few days and put you on IV antibiotics. Infections, especially c-section related are no joke. It may end up getting worse by Monday, and not all infections warn you with a fever. If they ran your blood right now, I'll bet your WBC's are through the roof! (white blood count that fights infection) It never hurts to get it checked out today. Good luck to you... ~A

After an incision is made, scar tissue can grow as the tissue heals. The lumpiness you feel is most likely due to this. What will indicate an infection is redness / swelling around the incision, pus-like drainage from the wound and a fever.
The blood that comes out from when you use the restroom is probably due to the straining and contracting of your abdominal muscles. The bleeding precautions you should take are if you see a reddish-purple bruise-like mass rapidly growing somewhere around the incision or if the bleeding comes out at an increasing rate (even after you use the restroom). Some bleeding is expected after surgery but you have to watch out for signs of excessive bleeding.
If you feel something is wrong -- go to the emergency room and have it checked out. It's better to be safe than sorry.

skip the weirdness of taking your daughter to the hospital.. and GO!
first off if your bleeding there could be something seriously wrong.. Diarrhea is not a good sign either... your temp. is not really a big deal cause low grade fevers often follow every sort of surgery... and what you had is surgery..
confused now .. they took out staples and its only been 9 days.. that seems quick cause it takes way longer to heal... if youve been doing any lifting. twisting, moving in general.. it could explain the temp too.. after a c-section your supposed to take it easy for up to a month!

You know your own body-if you think its infected then get to a doctor. a few antibiotics should take care of it.
Either way you need to be resting and drinking lots of fluids (and I mean lots). Try hot washcloths on the incision. This will help draw out anything in there.
Sounds like this is your body's way of telling you SLOW DOWN- YOU JUST HAD MAJOR SURGERY!!! Take extra care of yourself for a while!

the only problem i had was with my second c-sec and that was when after they took the staples out my tummy half opened up again i didn't get really sick from it probably more flu like symptoms. I would say go to the hospital and please get it checked ,you have had major abdominal surgery so don't take any chances.

go to the hospital or find a doctor that is open and go there. you do not want to risk anything, and if you go to hospital baby goes with you and they can't stop that.
