I had a dream last night that in a galaxy far, far away. there was a group of planets each in differant stages in years. how do we know that there maybe not another planet with other humans on but abit back or forward in time. e.g. electricity on there planet hasn't been invented. Or another planet has fount a cure for cancer and other mind boffing things that were just to thick to figure out. what if theres some way to travel millions of lightyears to deap galaxy and discover these planets. think about it mars jupitor and all them other named planets arn't just the only other planets. i really belive theres are millions of planets with life on them. and these so called aliens are just other people which are ahead in inventions and evelved more than us have created vehicles that can travel so fast and they've gone to search for other planets just as were so optimistic.

there must be people with my thoughts :P please comment on this intresting topic :D byee

I believe there is, but obviously not in our solar system. There are millions of systems just like our own with Suns and planets orbiting them so I cant see why there shouldn't be !! :)

The probability of there being some form of life on other planets in other solar systems is very good. At the same time, you must realize that the evolutionary process for life forms takes a long, long time and can be cut short by catatastrophes such as volcanic erruptions and asteroid hits.
So, various life forms may have developed and been killed off by climate changes or disease. We will not know for many years.

While you are having these wonderful dreams, study on the problem of determining "if" there are fish in the sea on a planet orbiting a star 100 Light Years from Earth. Ahh-h,
how, exactly, would you do that from your office here on Earth? My fish finder has a limitation of about 500 feet "in water".

Well you're not the only one that wonders that and there's even a formula for the "possibility of life" on other planets ect. I believe that there has to be other life out there in some form. In out solar system alone there are places were the possibility is high one big one being one of the many moons of Jupiter. The conditions for some type of life is high, being single celled or microbial. But for a fact, life like use is not possible at least not like you and me because our attributes come form our conditions that our ancestors faced making use what we are but there are some type of creatures moving around and if we have managed to do space travel in as little time as we have then for sure there's some thing else out there thats been doing it longer.

Life on other planets/ galaxy is a mystery for long. Definitely there is high possibility of having life on other planets. With billions and billions of stars all across the universe, with 1 % of possibility, you will be having millions of planets supporting life. But the real challange will be of identifying the new life form. On earth, we see animals and plants depending upon Oxygen and Co2 cycle, but on other systems it may be a total new form of species that we can't imagine at present. Life on our planetery system is also possible, as currently we have limited knowledge in this field.(Mars, for example may be sustaining life under the crust).
So life on other planets is 100% for sure, but it will be a challange to identify.

I kinda think it's irrelevant:-

There are as many stars as grains of sand on the earth, to travel between them all would take an infinite amount of people an infinite amount of time.

Yes there is life out there, but it would be like shooting an arrow into the sahara and hitting a specific grain of sand you were aiming for.

Even if we see a star capable of having life on it what we are seeing is how it was millions of years previously, we've been here 5 million and look at the mess we're headed for!

For all intents and purposes we are alone!

There maybe on mars which is so close.
The reason 2 b so optimistic is coz water has been found there.
Now according the scientists water is an essential ingredient in life.
It may be microbes but discovering life is very thrilling.
How do you know that they have cancer to cure and no other disease.
Maybe the things that are beneficial to us maybe harmful to them.

Think.Think.

i recon there is life on several planets, when i say this to my friends, they think i'm mad, but i do believe there is some other life on antother far away planet, and who knows, they might find us first.........it cannot be known untill it happens. But how can planet Earth be the only planet in the whole UNIVERSE to have life?? We don't even know if or where the universe stops, so why can't there be life somewhere else??

it is not in any respect been shown, yet with there being actually billions of stars in one galaxy, and billions of galaxies interior the universe, i'd would desire to declare the opportunities are in desire of existence being surprisingly adequate interior the universe. individually, i think somewhat that there is existence on different planets.
