This isn't the reason i want it over but just so you're aware...the child is being adopted (this was decided many months ago and i am sincerely happy with this decision). The new family are ready and waiting (they can't have children naturally) so they are also very excited....maybe this is why i want everything to happen soon as i know how happy they are, now that they are approved and eagerly waiting their new family member....oh i don't know(!)x

Oh you poor thing. I know how it was just being ready to be over with it all. Not only the pregnancy part being a pain in the you know what. But, the adoption part of it too. Im a birth mom myself and I know I just wanted to do what was right and get moving on with my life how ever that would take place. Im sending you lots of hugs and love from one bmom to another.

I hope it comes healthy and swift!!!

I do feel for you. I went through 70-some hours of labor total (having contractions, at home, with midwife, no drugs), 41 hours of active labor (after my water broke and contractions were one-on-top of the other with no breaks) and I just never dialated beyond 8cm. I watched the sun rise, set, rise, and set again all while having contractions 30 seconds or less apart non-stop. Ended with an emergency Csection at the hospital and a beautiful healthy baby boy! Long labor doesn't mean the baby is distressed, although you may be! Hang in there knowing that there is an end in sight and a glorious reward that will make ANY trial worth it. Even though your baby is being adopted, there is that moment when you give birth and you see the baby -- it is a moment of joy and pride of accomplishment beyond compare. All the hard work of labor will make sense, when you see what a wonderful thing you have made and brought into the world with your blood, sweat, and tears. The fact that you are doing this as a gift to someone else is really beautiful.

Be patient, and save your energy. When labor really kicks in, you will know it! And you will find the strength to make it through to the end... but you have a long way to go.

Oh honey, hang in there. Its going to happen very soon ok!
Relax, stop doing all that crap that doesn't work anyway. You are going to need every ounce of strength to labour and deliver your baby and you need rest!!

Get some chick flicks, sit down and eat some chocolate!

The only way that I think makes baby move along is sex. Its fun, hubby likes it too and best of all, there is a hormone in semen that is similar to the hormone in the gel they use to induce labour. So have a nice long (gentle) 'cuddle' with hubby and afterward stick a thick pillow under your butt to elevate your pelvis for about15-20 mins and this may help soften your cervix to allow contractions to start. Stay like that for longer if you can.

I did it (in the morning) and went into labour that evening. (Had lost my plug the day or 2 before) Baby was born early the next morning.

Good luck and hang in there! and stop doing house work and eating curries. it doesn't work. just old wives tales!

You are able to give life to a couple who wouldn't have been able to experience it other wise! I truly Wish you all the best!!

Walk. Gravity should do a lot.
I feel sympathy with you. I was in this same situation 12 years ago.
