igatpuri - Manas Resort... just abt 120 kms away from the bustling city. Just to watch and come back you can go to Malshet Ghat during rainy season-- wonderful to watch the nature having lot of water falls.

Matheran.... 60KM from Mumbai.... You can go by train upto Neral (Not Nerul)... from there many cabs are available to reach Matheran.... if you take a direct cab from mumbai they will charge you 1500 per day (Indica).... Now whether is awesome there.... full of clouds and fog. For resorts check make my trip and book in advance. Else Malashij Ghat, Alibaug, Kashid beach are other options....
