Something for HER. She'll get tons of stuff for the baby. I would suggest a coupon for diaper service, a gift cert. for a massage or manicure or pedicure.

Think original. Something for her for a start. We mothers always miss out on the good stuff. It could be as simple as a chick flick and a block of her fave chocolate. And don't forget dad. Beer always works!

For the baby. If its her first she has probably got all the big stuff so go unique and get her a family potrait sitting for after the baby is born and have the photos framed for the walls.
Or maybe a cool electric rocker/swing/bouncer as these are AMAZING when you have baby.
Or maybe a birth bunny. From signature bears. You can order them online. They are so cute and you can write a special message on one ear and then the other ear has pre-printed for you to write baby's name, weight, length, etc...They are lovely and personal and something to keep.

Or maybe a subscription to a parenting magazine. These are really helpful for a first time mum.

Good luck, wait until after baby is born to buy any clothes, blankets etc.. everybody always wants the 'right' colour first time around. there is nothing worse than everybody thinking your daughter is a son.

A diaper cake. Perfect when you don't know the sex of the baby. Every baby needs diapers, and this is a very stylish way to give them. Your sister will love it! Take a look:

First, your sister would be having a baby bathe, no longer a bridal bathe. From some kin, I have been given presents the two on the infant bathe and on the well-being center while they got here to ascertain my infant for the 1st time. i think of it would be somewhat superb so which you would be able to supply your sister a present day card (or voucher) for the infant bathe and while the infant is born, get your sister something specific like her popular field of goodies.

Some really nice bath stuff so she can pamper herself a bit. If you are feeling rich www.redenvelope.com have some really nice things.

If you want to get something for the baby do so but get her something too. I got my nephew a nice Afghan as the baby will grow out of any clothes you get him or her really quickly.

I always give a good treasury of classic childrens' stories so their parents can read to them and then when the child grows he/she can read them themselves. Good reading skills is a nice gift.

Buy her some bibs,blankets,bottles.
If you can only find them in blue or pink make sure you get a receipt so if you are wrong you can always take them back.
