My aunt changes him everytime he is wet. No matter how much did he wet the diaper or pooped.

Yes. Your aunt sounds like a very good mom. It's not good to keep ammonia up against a baby's skin...no matter how much urine the diaper will absorb. People who let them fill up first because diapers are expensive or because they are lazy make me sick as they are exposing their children to health risks.

This is very normal. Babies go thru a lot of diapers in the beginning like every 2 hours.

Sounds normal for a young infant. A newborn should go through about 10-12 diapers per day, and every baby is different.

If she is using cloth, then I would suggest she keeps up her attentiveness, although if she is using disposibles, please remind her of the landfills and how effective the toxic gels is at absorbing liquid, and how long it takes for them to decompose....and maybe suggest she change baby every 2-4 hours depending on need.

Yup, it's normal. I believe the expected average for a newborn in 12.

100% normal. I change my son's every single time as well. Would you want to sit in wet or poopy underpants for hours until you went again?

That is one pampered baby. No, you do not need to change a baby that often. If its cloth nappies you change more often than disposable but still, probably 5-8 times a day depending on child and quality of nappy. (and paranoia of mother)
