This is typical republican politics, confuse facts and issues! Unfortunately you see this often among President supporters on yahoo, for example, we went to war to fight terrorist! The fact is we went to war to rid Saddam of wnd's that were never found..It will be interesting to hear what Rudy Say's this time next year if the War is still continuing,in which no doubt will be,unless there is a policy change !

Krytox, there is no doubt that Clinton wanted Saddam Out! Clinton struck him once in Operation Desert Fox, a 4 day operation that took out 53 MILITARY TARGETS the 1st day. We did not loose one person in those 4 days, even though we had troops in Kuwait! Clinton wanted him assassinated. He would have NEVER gone around the UN Security Council, not listen to Hans Blix ( The chief UN inspector who said he found no weapons). Bush took out (redacted) 3,000 pages of Blix report that you will never see!!
Bush used a forged document that he knew was forged in front of the Congress and in front of the American people. That would not be something Clinton would have done! Clinton even tried to get the Republicans to pass an anti-terrorism Bill in 1996, 5 years before 9/11. Trent Lott, Orin Hatch and the rest of the Republicans were against it. He warned Bush in 2 reports regarding suspected terrorist and Bush didn't do one damn thing until AFTER 9/11, and then he attacked someone who had nothing to do with 9/11 or terrorism! Those ARE THE FACTS!

You chose to front Chris Matthews and Joe Biden as exemplars of truth and fairness. I gotta really question your judgement there bro. There is not a more biased figure in the media than Chris Matthews. Joe Biden is a politician running for office. Now THATS a reliable source. OK , he overstepped on the Clinton comment. Clinton did not have the guts to go after Saddam.

Scroll down in the link I've given and see what Pres Clinton signed into law Sept 1998.
And before you start the tired old lie of "Bush lied to Congress", re-read the date Pres Clinton signed the Law....Sept 1998! Long before Pres Bush was on the scene.
You are just another Lib shot down with real facts.

I was in Dubai with the Navy task force in 98 UNDER Clintons orders to kick Saddam butt and that was in 98!!! Saddam did it to himself with all the bullcrap of having or not having WMD, and playing with the inspectors in and out of Iraq....! it was just a matter or time, since we in the military had orders to plan for an Iraqi invasion SINCE the 90's!!
