"In many cases of relactation, the mother has to be very determined to get the baby breastfeeding again. In some cases, it is actually very easy. But, as mentioned above, for many reasons it may seem to be easy to get the baby breastfeeding again, and yet it may not work. Or, one would have thought it impossible, and it works beautifully."

Absolutely you can still nurse her. Relactation is difficult, but definitely possible. Get yourself to a lactation consultant ASAP. Until you can produce milk again, try to use a supplemental nursing system (SNS). Try fenugreek to up supply. Go to your doctor and see if he thinks starting you on Reglan is appropriate. Keep yourself hydrated, and pump, pump, pump. Nurse constantly. Keep that baby latched and stimulating milk production.

i was a breast feeding mom and I had to use formula because I eat spicy foods and love hot peppers. I did not know that the spice and peppers was making my breast milk hurt the baby's tongue. I did go back to breast feeding . but I had to eat a bland diet and I was happy when he started regular milk because i can pour hot sauce on my food and he is 24 and hates hot sauce. I cant understand , but he is my lovebug and he is Russian , Mexican and German. he is still the love of my life and can't understand why I eat Jalapeno peppers with my breakfast

Well, if she isn't getting your milk it is healthier for her to have formula. Talk to your doctor about meds to increase lactation and do a search for what they call kangaoo care. it helps stimulate oxytocin.

If you have stopped feeding, then no. Production depends upon supply and demand. Try getting advice on what type of formula to feed her - not all types suit all babies.

you could possibly need to change her milk type...and to get her to drink water maybe mix something into the water that she likes..
