How would getting married ruin my social life? My girlfriend and I have been together for many years, and she's my best friend. We share the same pool of friends, so they'll still be close to us when we get married. As for going out, sometimes we go out together, and sometimes, we go out separately. Some of our interests are separate, and that's fine. We respect one another's right to do different things. But most of the time, we're together, and are very happy spending time with each other, and with our close friends.

Marriage doesn't ruin your social life. You can still go out & do the ordinary things without feeling like marriage is holding you back.
