I once read that during the time of Moses and his mass exodus of the Jews, the miracles/plagues he performed were not of his or God's doing. That also being the case of their 40 year wander in the Sinai. I read that it was actually due to the fact that Venus was in propulsion from Jupiter and was sent hurtling past the Earth, causing these events, and that if it had tilted our axis, we wouldn't be here today...is this true?

May I add that our tilted axis is the result of the fact that at some point in its existance Earth was impacted by a somethat Mars-sized asteroid. Thus, the Moon was created from the ejecta of material following the impact. The fact that our planet has a tilt axis is indeed of great importance to life, as this is the reason for the 4 seasons we experience on Earth. Cheers!

Just goes to show what happens when you make scientific statements based on the bible. You come across as a mumbling ....

Venus is in the same orbit as it always has been since it was born. It might have shifted some during these billions of years through impacts (one impact shifted its axis by 176 degrees) but since Venus orbit is virtually circular, compared to earths more elliptical orbit, it is highly unlikely Venus orbit has ever different in its past.

And if Venus came from Jupiter (sigh... Why do I bother?...) then its composition would be vastly different. Like the Jovian moons. But Venus has roughly the same density as earths so it is more similar in composition to that of earth. Not Jupiter. The Venera probe, that landed on Venus, also showed the surface to be similar in composition as basalts on earth.

Don´t try to find scientific explanations for events in the bible. It is an insult to science. Not to mention the bible.

Utterly absurd. If Venus was on a path that brought it that close to the Earth, it would STILL be on such a path. It is quite obvious from observing Venus that it never comes anywhere close to the Earth.

Our measurements are good enough that we can precisely trace the paths of the planets back in time for thousands of years.

The mass exodus of Jews never actually happened, the bible is just another book of fiction and should not be believed.

That said the idea that Venus came from Jupiter seems to come from Immanuel Velikovsky and has been debunked as impossible.

perhaps not. It is just a theory that says as Venus was rotating the way earth used to, a huge asteroid chrahed into it causing the difference in the way of rotation.
