Ok I have a story and I need some kind of answers please. I was driving home from work it was about midnight on a thursday night. I live way out in the middle of nowhere and I was the only one on the road. It was pitch black outside and I was on my phone and I saw this thing comming towards my car and out of nowhere this huge white owl appeared right infront of my car about 50 ft away and started flapping it's wings and staying in one spot just looking at me, I swerved and ranmy car off the road and it finally flew away. It had to be the weirdest encounter I had ever had. So should I be woried or not?

They are bad luck, they are a symbol of a nearby death of a loved one. Have you ever heard of the story "The White Owl"? It tells about a boy who's brother dies after they went into the forest when they were younger and spotted the White Owl. Then later in the book him and his American cousin go into the forest and see the White Owl and soon the cousin dies after that by getting hit by a falling tree. So yes, White Owls are very bad luck :(

Owls are considered messengers and occassionally harbingers of death but I think its because they hunt at night plus in several myths the Gods & Goddesses shapeshifted into owls upon death. Check out the story of Blodeuwedd in Celtic myths.

White animals in general would usually thought of good things unless they died. Unless... of course... it happened to be a polar bear, in which case you need to bend over and kiss it goodbye.
