Don't let the word calculus scare you! if you understand enough about business then you will understand most of business calculus problems.. The calculus part just deals with the rate of change of things, so remember rate of change, and if it equals zero (no change) then it becomes an ordinary problem that is static. Most real life situations are dynamic and change with time or other affecting factors, so this class will take traditional business problems and account for the changes that can take place. You will do fine if you keep that in mind and will learn a new, more flexible way of understanding how things work in business. Just keep an open mind and ask a lot of questions.

calculus is harder, but it isn't all that hard actually. I'll be taking calculus 3 in the fall. It is pretty ok. Calculus for business should just be applied calculus, where as regular calculus class offers some explanation of applications and more of calculus in it's entirety. There is a lot of trigonometry, at least in my classes, in calculus class. You have to know how to find the limits, derivatives, integrals and sequence and series of trig functions and such. And you should definitely know how to evaluate them. If you don't take trig, you should at least study up on it on your own because that will only help you.
