Well, I would recommend Squaw Valley over SF. Driving and parking in SF is a waste of money. They have free public trolleys that are convenient and on time. There really is no need for a car in SF unless you see Napa Valley. it is a must see, for any wine connoisseur! Anyway, make up your mind, Manzanillo, Squaw Valley, SF, or maybe even nowhere! Just Kidding. All hotel parking is expensive. we paid over 30 dollars a night and during the day at the parking meters you pay 25 cents for 30 minutes, and you can not exceed 30 minutes so you have to constantly turn back and add more money.

I had stayed in San Francisco in 2005. Parking is really expensive. Why dont you try staying over in Daly City which is just around the corner. It is cheaper there. I dont know with the motels or hotels but why dont you give it a try.

If you stay inside the city proper of the downtown San Francisco area parking is not free at any of the hotels... and it is usually cheaper to park in one of the nearby garages instead of the hotels to save some money. You can stay outside of the city proper as mentioned by previous people and parking often is free.

San Francisco is noted for the "No Tell Motel" chain.
You pay according to where you park it.

If you stay at any hotel/motel in SF parking should be free. Just take a taxi/bart/bus anywhere you want to go.
