I have been married for 16 years. The guy I was living with before I was married has been on my mind for quite a while now. I have been thinking about him all the time and have had several dreams about him. I love my husband but can't help but wonder what would have been. The last time I saw him I felt the connection we had was still there and regretted the way we left things. I know he is married now and would just like to know how he is and see if the spark is still there. Any ideas?

Your married he is married why contact him. What spark are you referring too because if there had been a spark between you two you will have gotten married and not broken up. Don't try to put yourself in a situation that will make you look like a home wrecker to him or his wife. The past is the past you are not the only one that has feelings of what if. Your husband probably has them too, their innocent until you decide to act on them.

You're playing with fire! If you're happily married and love your husband then you need to leave it alone!. Since he is your ex there must have been a reason for the breakup in the first place. Plus he is marriead also. You don't want to break up yours or his marriage over thinking about him. Start thinking more about your husband and all the reasons you love him and get your mind off of your ex period.

1)You are married.
2)You love your husband.

There was a reason you didn't stay together 16 years ago, and that was a smart move cause you are married to someone you love.

He has only been on your mind because you are missing your youth and he isn't going to bring it back no matter what. Stopping looking back cause you are going to miss what is right in front of you.

And what happens when the sparks are still there?

Contact him when you are confident that you yourself will not anymore fall for him, and that you can be truly just friends. It would help to meet with hin with your hubby or a kid in tow, so he knows there are no strange ideas in your head when you meet.

You are asking for trouble. Don't do it. You stand the chance of wrecking two marriages. Get a hobby--- do SOMETHING to occupy your mind.

your husband deserves better than you. We all wonder about what could have been but most of us are smart enough not to put ourselves in harm's way.
