This feels a bit weird, but I would like an answer before I rush off to the doctor. This has happened before, mind you.

Just a few minutes ago, I was in the bathroom finishing up my business and I noticed that white mucus had come from my vagina. Now, I'm 17 and I'm not sexually active. I've never even been that close with a boy to get happy go lucky. I've been pretty normal for the past few months. This stunned me a bit, as it happened once before (and I went off to the doctor in a panic. He also asked if I was sexually active, but I wasn't. I was a bit happy around that time, but I didn't do anything).

I looked up this mucus on the internet, and it said that it was eggs or something, showing that I was ready for pregnancy?! I've no clue what the heck is up with that, and it frightens me just a bit.

My last period was two weeks ago, and again, I haven't been around a boy since two weeks ago (at a social gathering). Someone please explain to me what's going on!

Has no one ever talked about your menstrual cycle with you? Sounds like the way MY mom did it - not at all!

The mucous in your vagina is normal. During our monthly cycle, the hormones in our body fluctuate, and cause changes in the mucous production in our v - among other things. I think it's happens during ovulation - when the egg is released from the ovary, making the long journey down the fallopian tube, through the uterus, and, well, out during your period.

The information you got on the internet is correct - when you ovulate (release an egg), your body is in the most likely state to get prenant. If you're not having sexual contact with anyone, you won't get pregnant.

I remember when I was your age, that mucous thing freaked me out a bit, too - it's just another thing to get used to.

Glad to help - if you need someone to talk to in a less public setting, please feel free to contact me, okay? Take care!

It sounds as though you are ovulating, which is what was described to you as the eggs. This is normal. Any type of mucus like that is just a females body naturally cleansing itself. You don't need to worry unless it smells offensive. Then you can rush off to the Dr. For now, as long as it has no smell, you are fine. Try wearing a panty liner so as you don't wreck your undies. An ad here in Australia says, Libra liners; keep your knickers nice.!!!
Hope this helps!!!
Have a great day/night.

Probably. I don't know your age, but you must be about 13, which is the average age most girls start their periods. If your breasts have developed and your hips are becoming more defined, your periods should soon be starting. It's normal to have a vaginal discharge of mucus. All these things are caused by the female hormone, estrogen, which gives girls their womanly figures and enables them to have babies when the time is right. The changes in your body are perfectly normal.

It's called cervical mucus and all woman get it, it means you are fertile, or getting ready to ovulate. It's 100% normal, and the color and consistancy of it will chance at different times in your cycle. No worries, the mucus helps carry the sperm to the egg during reproduction.

Discharge does indicate that your body is releasing certain hormones that lead to full-blown womanhood. You may or may not have a period soon, although the discharge DOES point to a likelihood that you will. I started having discharge at 12, but never had a period until I was 17. Every woman/girl/adolescent is different. Just keep "supplies" handy for the day that you do start.

How much bread have you eaten recently? It doesn't have to have a smell, but sometimes the more bread you eat the more, um, stuff you produce.

That eggs or something you mentioned I think you'd better forget. Your egg get as far as your uterus, and if it doesn't become a baby, it washes away with your menstrual flow.

Aside from that, you might just have a very healthy fantasy life or something in your growing body is causing those glands to secrete more. Unless it has color or odor, though, I'd put it on the back burner and check how many bread products you're eating.

yes, alot of women get "egg white" cervical mucus during ovulation.. there is nothing wrong with you, its normal. not everyone notices that they get it. makes sense reading that your last period was 2 weeks ago, you should be ovulating around this time probably!!

relax, there is nothing wrong with you!
