Well I was wondering, all of the time now when i say anything that happens to be true and also about blacks or any ethnic group people say I am racist.

Like i said that: In prisons, the majority of inmates are black. People then call me racist. It is the truth. Where I live 87 percent of the prison population is black, and they make up only 10 percent of the normal population. It costs 67000 to pay for one prisoners upkeep per year. They are wasting a lot of our countries money, I dont understand why I should be victimised for telling the truth. Its not like I am the criminal here, it is the black people that are in jail. They commited the crimes, if they have such a big problem with me saying the truth then they shouldnt commit crimes, because then I cannot say it. So yeah, what are your thoughts on this, am i allowed to say things like this, why or why not? Also shoud black people have to take a course that is designed to break there cycling of offending. It is not discriminatory

it is just there to help them. Why should the tax payer have to pay for their upkeep they are no good for the country. If this is racist explain why, its just the truth. I mean people say youth shouldnt drive, thats youthist. They say this is beacuse they are immature, but age does not necessarily denote maturitty - there are 30 year olds that are less sensible than 15 year olds. Likewise, just being black does not mean you are a criminal, but, nevertheless, systems should be put in place for the black people so tehy do not commit crimes, just like systems are put in place to stop youth driving and harser punishments for those that do, isnt this only fair?

The reason it's racist is not just in this situation but in any situation where the RESULT seems fairly obvious but how the situation got that way might need further exploring.

Let's take something less political. 20 years ago, people actually thought blacks were not capable of running very long distances (10,000 meters) or the marathon because they thought blacks only had quick twitch muscles but clearly the Kenyans have pretty much proved that long distance is running is partially genetics but ultimately really just self-interest, training and certain people who live in high altitudes have some advantages ... but that anyone, Latino, White, Asian, Arabic who is willing to run like 100 a week and train and dedicate yourself can become a world class long distance runner - why are there no more long distance American runners of any fame or ability? Have we as Americans genetically changed in the last 30 years or is it long distance running holds no real glamour or income opportunities?

While I don't know your county - the question to ask is who are the police arresting and who is the county prosecuting? And to what degree. THere have been studies that showed in other counties where a minor drug offense might entail probation for like 90% of white arrestees while only like 15% of blacks are offered probation. Again, I'm not saying this is true in your county but the question to ask - who is getting arrested - for what crimes and how are they sentenced.

And of course, after you serve jail time once, if you are re-arrested - of course, the judge will throw the book at you again.

Or look at it this way, we all have heard stories of politicians being pulled over for drunk driving 4-10 times and ONLY now, are they really getting arrested, etc ... do you honestly think a black man could get pulled over for drunk driving 4-10 times and not be arrested 4-10 times?

As a citizen, you have every right to ask - is my town racist aand if so - the consequence is that I'M paying $67k a year to house, cloth and keep a guy in jail who now has a blot on his record and will presumably not amount to much even if he wants to - that is the consequence of racism. Is grandma pulled over for a broken tail light or just a black guy? And does grandma get 6 months for 'talking back' and 'resisting arrest?'

THat's the bigger question to ask - and is the crime worth you/me/us & the feds spending $67k a year? Where even if the guy held down a minimum wage job, we'd all get his taxes?

Murder, of course. Rape, violent crimes - of course but speeding, talking back or minor stuff?

So, just saying if blacks are 87% of the prison population does not mean they all got a fair shake in getting there and you can't condemn them all for the same crime - I'm not saying they're all innocent - what I'm saying is that you have to look at sentencing before condeming them as all the same.

This is the American we're living in. Where the truth even though stats prove seem delusional. For example its true that most illegal aliens that cross our SOUTHERN border are Mexicans. Yet, when someone that's not Mexican or black says it its racist. It is also racist to say that the Mexican population in CA will be 20 million soon. We are living in a world that tries to deny facts by issuing statements that cover the truth.

I think the reason people percieve you has racist, is that you are focusing on only the black population. Yes, those blacks in prison are using tax money, but so are the white prisoners, asian, hispanic, etc... yet it comes across that you are kinda only mad at the black inmates.

That said, there are way too many people calling racism..?

Sometimes the truth hurts. If people feel hurt by what you say, it could be they see the truth in your statements, but just wont admit it. I feel you do look at statistics and only base your thoughts on the statistics. I am sorry our world is the way it is. However, black people arent the only problem in our world. Dont target just one race, target them all.

in todays society if you say something a minority doesn't like even though its a fact, they will play the race card and call you a racist. they do this because they don't have a real case to stand on.

speak the truth.

I don't think being black makes someone predisposed to criminality.
Criminal behavior in all races is usually caused by poverty and lack of education and opportunities.

You don't find many Ph.Ds of any race in prison.

i think it is best to keep your opinions to yourself.

Statistics show that there are most "black" people in prison because they have a high percentage of people not going to school and having an education. it's not right but dont judge it because you were born into a family that could support and teach you the right things
