Why do we still need to keep Antarctica in a pristine condition?

Well lets see here...its one of the largest ice shelves in the entire world and also happens to have one of the largest holes in the ozone around there....

I'm not a scientist, but common sense will tell you that when ice melts there's water...ever seen The Day After Tomorrow?

I would like if it didn't melt, but I guess that is too late. I would like it if they some how preserved the wild life. Instead of profiting form this misfortune. By the way "The Day After Tomorrow" is total BS.
